Microsoft Paint now integrates DALL-E 3
According to reports, Microsoft is making DALL-E 3 integration available for its Windows 11 Paint program. The text-to-image generator was first available to Windows Insider users, but it is now being made available to a larger user base. In Microsoft Paint, a new "Cocreator" button allows users to utilize this feature. Microsoft had before declared that it intended to include generative AI-powered capabilities as well.
As per the report, the new Cocreator feature in Paint is rolling out to everyone outside the Insider program, enabling you to generate images from text through OpenAI’s DALL-E 3 image generation tool.
The text-to-image generation tool in Microsoft Paint works exactly like it does in DALL-E 3-powered Bing Image Creator. To use the feature, click on the “Cocreator” button on the right side of the toolbar in Paint. It will pull up a sidebar where users can write a description to generate images using AI.
Microsoft is also offering a short tutorial to users who never used DALL-E or any AI-powered text-to-image generation tool.
The DALL-E 3 integration in Microsoft Paint on Windows 11 could be accessed through the Canary and Dev channels since September. Users in the Release Preview Channel also received access just recently. Now, users on the stable release of Windows 11 can access the DALL-E 3 capabilities in Microsoft Paint from this week. If you are unable to see the new “Cocreator” button, make sure you are using the latest version of the app.
