Microsoft launches Surface Pro 8, Surface Go 3, Surface Duo 2 and more

Microsoft has launched a series of new products that cater to different audiences with their special design. The five new Surface products including the Surface Duo 2 phone, Surface Pro 8, Surface Go 3, Surface Laptop Studio and Surface Pro X. Microsoft Surface laptop Studio price begins at $1,599 (Rs. 1,18,000 approx).

While these enhancements might help maintain Surface revenue growth, it’s more likely they’ll promote the forthcoming Windows 11 operating system and Office productivity applications, both of which are more meaningful parts of Microsoft’s business, and inspire the work of fellow device makers.

Apart from the Surface Pro 8, Microsoft has also launched its new Surface Slim Pen 2, another 2-in-1 laptop - Surface Go 3, Surface Duo 2 foldable phone and many other devices.

Microsoft has launched the Surface Pro 8 as its most powerful Surface Pro device ever. For this, the Surface Pro 8 comes with a quad-core 11th-gen Intel Evo processor and an edge-to-edge 13-inch PixelSense touchscreen that now supports up to 120Hz refresh rate. There is up to 32GB RAM on offer.

The 2-in-1 laptop has been specially designed for Windows 11 and makes use of several of its features, like the Dynamic Refresh Rate for optimised and longer-lasting performance. Surface Pro 8 comes with two USB-C Thunderbolt 4 ports and the Surface Connect port for charging. The Surface Pro 8 can thus connect to multiple 4K displays, or external storage or GPUs.

The new Signature Keyboard with the Surface Pro 8 now comes with Surface Slim Pen 2 and a cutout for the same. Microsoft has also unveiled its new foldable smartphone by the name of Surface Duo 2. Just like its predecessor, the new foldable by Microsoft comes with two large displays on either sides of a foldable form factor hinged from the middle.

It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 processor and features a 8.3-inch PixelSense display when unfolded, that offers a 90 Hz refresh rate and is protected by a nano-coated 3D glass. Microsoft is calling it the slimmest 5G phone ever made.

Microsoft Surface Laptop Studio was one of the biggest announcements at the Microsoft event on Wednesday. The new device is designed as an “evolution of Surface Book” and is touted to be “built on the heritage of both Surface Book and Surface Studio.
