Mercari appoints Vish Magapu as Senior Director, Site Lead for India
Japan’s C2C Marketplace, Mercari has appointed Vish Magapu as Senior Director, Site Lead of Mercari India. The appointment is in line with Mercari INC’s expansion plans in India. With over 25 years of experience in the E-commerce, FinTech, Consumer Internet, and Multi tenanted SaaS Applications space, Vish will be responsible for technical and operational leadership to develop Mercari India’s Center of Excellence as the largest technology hub of the Mercari Group.
Mercari has over 20 million active users in Japan and aims to build an ecosystem where value circulates while developing financial and crypto services based on an e-commerce-type platform. Vish is an experienced technology leader with diverse software engineering and management skills gained at renowned organizations like Paytm, Flipkart, Amazon.com, Yahoo, Charles Schwab, and NASA Ames Research Center and has built and managed topflight software engineering organizations in USA and India across different Fortune 500 companies.
