Mavenir is committed to cloud-centric infrastructure across its end-to-end 5G portfolio (vRAN, vEPC, IMS, Security, and other critical solutions), using open development techniques and programming tools to deliver the networks of the future. Our vRAN technology extends the virtualization to the edge of the network and provides strategic differentiation by enabling the Remote Radio Units (RRUs) to interwork with the virtualized Cloud Base Band Unit (vBBU) over ethernet Fronthaul (FH), overcoming the traditional constraints of Common Public Radio Interface (CPRI) over fiber.

We have developed the industry's most advanced Network Security and Fraud Management Suite, a unique platform built with AI/Machine Learning & Big Data Analytics providing Real-Time Network Protection and Fraud Prevention. How is Mavenir positioned in the current situation, more so, when the Indian service providers are under severe financial stress?

Mavenir is already undergoing several trials across the globe with Tier1 carriers; this positions us very well for 5G in India. We would like to be a part of the 5G story that is being shaped up by the government of India with its recent go ahead for trials and its plans to auction 5G spectrum.

Can you explain the key features of Mavenir’s ‘Network & Fraud management Suite’ and how this particular product is positioned in the industry? 

Mavenir’s cloud-native ‘Network Security and Fraud Management Suite’ offers Messaging (SMS, MMS, and RCS) Spam and Fraud control, Equipment Identity Register (EIR), Signalling Firewall (Diameter, SIP, SS7 and GTP), Session Border Controller (vSBC) and Mobile Edge Gateway (including ePDG, SeGW, and HeNB-GW) enabling operators to understand, monitor, enforce and maintain network security.  Our security suite fully covers protection of the core mobile network including the messaging, voice and data revenue of modern CSPs. Some of the components of Mavenir Fraud Management and Security Suite continuously ensure for recurrent revenue savings by our customers at the levels millions of dollars per month. 

Does Mavenir’s R&D centre based out of Bangalore caters only to the Indian market or does it have a role to play in other markets also? 

Mavenir R&D centre is focused on complete end-to-end delivery of innovative next generation solutions global market including India. We have experts based in Bangalore location that are engaged directly and work very closely with operators and customers to not only understand their needs but also to educate and explain how and why they should transform. Also, our development and validation team works with operations center, which is also based in Bangalore, to help with any production issues or deployment.  

Speaking about your ‘fraud management and security suite’, who are you target audience?

Our target audience is all global mobile operators striving to protect revenues from continuous and growing security and fraud threats. To protect the mobile operator’s revenue, security solutions utilizing Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning for Enhanced Messaging firewalls and A2P managed services are required. Mavenir’s strategy to boost sales from the product perspective is addressing specific use-cases with the dedicated targeted packages and standard network integration scenarios. This enables us to leverage market momentum right when the problem is there. Mavenir security products are part of the 5G strategy and therefore our customers will have smooth evolution path into the new technologies ensuring that their networks and services are well protected.
