“The city of Bhubaneswar has undergone a drastic change in the last 1 decade thus emerging as the top IT leading city in the country. In the past also, recognizing the IT potential of the state government, the Govt of India had established the 1st STPI center in Bhubaneswar along with Bengaluru and Pune during 1991. It is needless to say that STPI has played a phenomenal role to promote companies in IT exports, IT software & development and electronics hardware through its flagship program STP scheme. STPI has made every effort for promoting IT exports and boosting IT-ITeS exports from the state. The export turn-ver from the state has grown from 91 crore during 1994-95 to 3, 400 crore in 2016-17. Odisha occupies a position among the Top leading 10 Indian states in IT exports.”
