Lava International is betting big on the growing demand for VoLTE (Voice over Long Term Evolution) enabled devices by offering VoLTE on 77 per cent of its smartphones.
The company has 17 VoLTE handsets out of 22 4G smartphones offered to end consumers and has gained a leading position amongst the Indian handset vendors having maximum number of VoLTE enabled smartphones.
Lava with its vision to make reliable technologies accessible, has introduced VoLTE on all its recently launched smartphones. Further, all Lava smartphones which were launched even 9-12 months back will be upgraded to VoLTE in a few months’ time.
Commenting on VoLTE smartphones, Gaurav Nigam, head – Product, Lava International said, “We launched our first VoLTE enabled smartphone Lava A71 early this year and till date we have launched around 17 VoLTE enabled smartphones which is the highest compared to other Indian mobile handset players. Being a reliable brand, it is our constant endeavor to have a long and engaging relation with our consumers. Hence, we aim to provide timely upgrades to our consumers to keep them abreast with the latest technology.”
With the help of VoLTE enabled smartphones, consumers will be able to experience better voice clarity and communicate effectively. The network in VoLTE is more efficient as it transmits higher codec than traditional voice call network. Also, calls using VoLTE are much faster than calls made over a mobile network.
Initial estimates suggest that 4G LTE enabled smartphone sales in India will cross 50 million in 2016. The demand for LTE smartphones is already gaining momentum as 2 out of 3 smartphones shipped during the first quarter of 2016 in India supported 4G LTE technology.
