Kyocera India targets growth revenue of Rs.412 Crore by 2018
Kyocera Document Solutions India has planned rapid expansion with a view to register about three-fold growth in revenue by 2018 on the back of the government’s digitization programme. Credited with around 12-per cent market share in monochrome printers and 4- per cent in the colour segment currently, the company also expects to achieve 20-per cent market share in monochrome and 10-per cent in the colour segment in the next two years.
Lalit Chaturvedi, General Manager, Kyocera Document Solutions India, said, "We are expecting to grow our revenue to Rs.412 crore by 2018 from about Rs.150 crore at present. We will be expanding our product portfolio by adding 39 new products focussed on lowering the cost of print and low-energy consumption."
Gradually, small cities will develop and turn into big markets for Kyocera, he said, adding, “We intend to build our retail outlet presence in those cities from the beginning."
Talking about growth drivers, he said that the company is eyeing government's plan to digitize its operations. It has also devised its strategy for enterprise segment. "The Government’s plan to move digital is an obvious growth driver. In the enterprise segment, everyone is moving from capex (capital expenditure) to opex model," added Chaturvedi.
"We are not asking customers to buy our machines. They can rather pay us as per use. We are also in talks with some banks to arrange finance for enterprise-grade machines," he added.
