Kaspersky launches New Range of Products in India
Kaspersky Lab, Russia has announced the release of its new and improved Kaspersky Internet Security 2009 in India. This version has been designed to address the challenges in the security software space, offering effective and automated protection against today’s threats while overcoming the bane of security software of slowing down the system, bringing to market a new standard in anti-malware protection.
With an exponential increase in malicious threats and the unprecedented sophistication of cyber criminal activities, industry experts have challenged the anti-malware industry to find new approaches to protect individual computer users. They want effective and automated protection against today’s threats from a solution that doesn’t slow their computers down.
This new generation of Kaspersky security software is designed to address these challenges. Kaspersky has entirely rebuilt its award-winning anti-malware security engine. Now, Kaspersky Internet Security 2009 and Kaspersky Anti-Virus 2009 sport both powerful detection and unrivalled scanning speeds.
“Kaspersky Lab has raised the bar once again. Version 2009 offers a better approach to security. It is all about getting the best possible protection without sacrificing performance. With an exponential increase in malicious threats and the unprecedented sophistication of cyber criminal activities, industry experts and customers have challenged the anti-malware industry to find new approaches to protect individual computer users. They want effective and automated protection against today’s threats from a solution that doesn’t slow their computers down,” says Alexy Gromkyo, Director –Channels, India & ANZ, Kaspersky. According to M. H. Noble, Managing Director, Zoom Technologies – Kaspersky Distributor in India,–“Kaspersky Internet Security 2009 is the first consumer PC security protection of its kind providing better protection, better performance which has never been available in the market till now.”
Unlike traditional anti-virus technology that simply looks for information that is considered bad and monitors all other activity, Kaspersky goes far beyond malware detection and monitoring. Kaspersky Internet Security 2009 is the first consumer PC security protection of its kind. The software combines traditional signature scanning of bad applications (blacklisting) with an extensive database of more than 400 million known, good applications (whitelisting).
By eliminating the software codes that are known to be bad, and determining which ones are good, Kaspersky Internet Security 2009 can focus its extensive analysis capabilities to closely watch and restrict that which falls into neither category (good or bad), but can pose potential harm at any time. The combination of new technology and a revolutionary approach to protection provides greater security, significantly frees processor and memory resources, and virtually eliminates the need for users to respond to bothersome pop-ups, which add up to a much safer and better computing experience.
Kaspersky Anti-Virus 2009 and Kaspersky Internet Security 2009 were developed in line with the system requirements for Windows Vista and are fully compatible with 32-bit and 64-bit versions of the operating system.
The company has also launched Kaspersky Mobile Security, which is a convenient and easy way to protect confidential personal information and blocks malicious attacks and annoying SMS spam on your mobile. The growth of SMS spam is becoming an increasing nuisance. Kaspersky Mobile Security protects you against malicious attacks while downloading information from the web and prevents any kind of exposure of the data on your phone. In case of theft or loss of a mobile device, Kaspersky Mobile Security protects personal data stored on the device if it is lost. The user can block his/ her mobile phone or delete files, messages and the list of contacts remotely. The user can also find out who the “new owner” is.
