Juniper Networks launches carrier-grade routing and security for AWS marketplace
Juniper Networks announced the latest versions of its industry leading virtual routing and security platforms, Juniper Networks vMX and vSRX Virtual Firewall for AWS Marketplace.
Operating similar to their physical counterparts, the vMX and vSRX platforms will enable enterprises to flexibly deploy carrier-grade routing and firewall functions at the click of a button. Customers will have the option to purchase services on-demand via an annual or hourly subscription directly from the AWS Marketplace or from Juniper Networks, through a Bring Your Own License (BYOL) model.
The virtual routing and security platforms are seamlessly integrated into AWS and are completely manageable through a single point, delivering the performance, management and scalability customers have come to expect from Juniper Networks, while at the same time, greatly simplifying policy enforcement and network operations for hybrid cloud deployments.
“Our customers want solutions like Juniper Networks’ vSRX and vMX, which are available on AWS Marketplace for immediate purchase and deployment. By listing its product on AWS Marketplace, Juniper Networks is enabling organizations to extend on-premises security policies to AWS, ensuring that their data is protected as they take full advantage of the scalability and agility of AWS,” said Barry Russell, GM, Global Business Development, AWS Marketplace and Catalog Services at Amazon Web Services.
“In today’s dynamic, global business world, customers need unprecedented levels of flexibility to capitalize on the cloud promise – this is the primary reason behind introducing full-featured virtual versions of our industry leading MX and SRX Series platforms. The inclusion of vMX and vSRX in the AWS Marketplace is a testament to the industry’s growing demand for high-performance, secure software solutions,” said Paul Obsitnik, vice president, Portfolio Marketing, Juniper Networks.
