Is Rajnikanth playing the bad cop in Darbar?
Veteran actor Rajnikanth is one of the few actors who has got a tremendous fan following. His movies are eagerly awaited and people can hardly wait to check on his first look or trailers of his films.
Rajnikanth’s upcoming film Darbar’s trailer is now out and the actor can be seen playing a bad cop in the film. “We live to protect, we die to serve!” are his words as Adithya Arunasulam, Commissioner of Mumbai Police in Darbar.
But wait, this time he is not playing a good guy, but a baddie in the film!
The audience had always missed his villainous roles in his recent films, and now they can very well get a glimpse of yesteryear’s baddie Rajnikanth.
In one of his dialogues in the film trailer, he is heard saying in Tamil “a-ve naam villan ma!”, which can be roughly translated as ‘We are the villains!’
Written and directed by A.R. Murugadoss, and produced by Allirajah Subaskran, the film also stars Anna aka Suniel Shetty as a gangster and Nayantara as the female lead.
The film slated for a Pongal release, is Rajnikanth’s second film with Lycra Productions after 2.0 success.
