IRIS Global helps build Smart Classes for Ladakh’s Sarva Shikha Abhiyan
In a recent bid, Iris Global Services has delivered a huge Rs 40 crore order towards the “Sarva Shikya Abhiyan” for the Union Territory (UT) of Ladakh.
This Indian Government program aims at spreading primary education in a time bound manner. This initiative promotes making free and compulsory education for children in primary schools between the ages of 6 to 14, as their fundamental right.
Iris Global’s Partner - LS Technologies, Jammu received the prestigious order for delivering smart classes in the schools of J&K including Leh & Kargil.
The project was supplied with 6,000 ACER desktop computers and over 1,000 each of other peripherals such as Projectors, Numeric UPSs, Cybernetyx Interactive Devices Pantum Printers and Speakers.
“We have activated 1,012 schools with the latest smart class technologies, said Sandeep Malhotra, Director, LS Technologies, “ In doing so, Iris Global played a major role as a National Distributor by supporting us with timely deliveries for Desktop and UPSs.” he added.
Kamini Talwar, Director, Iris Global said that the procurement for Sab Shiksha Abhiyan, was done by the IT Department of J&K. The Jammu based partner – LS Technologies, was able to secure the Rs 40 Crore order towards IT equipment supplies. She also disclosed that the ambitious project has just been completed on March 31, 2021.
