Under the Department of Post, Ministry of Communication with 100% equity owned by Government of India, IPPB was formed. IPPB has expanded its strength across India covering post offices, through a network of 650 IPPB branches/controlling offices, working on a hub and spoke model. IPPB aims to provide every household in India access to efficient banking services and enable them to become financially secure and empowered.
IPPB and Department of Posts (DoP) have come up with ‘DakPay’, a new digital payment app. It is launched as part of its ongoing efforts to provide digital financial inclusion at the last mile across India. DakPay is not just a digital payment app but a suite of digital financial and assisted banking services provided by India Post & IPPB through the trusted postal (‘Dak’) network across the nation to cater to the financial needs (‘Pay’) of various sections of the society.
