It is said to feature a new 4-inch Retina display; an Apple-designed A6 chip for blazing fast performance; and ultrafast wireless technology. iPhone 5 comes with iOS 6 along with over 200 new features including: the all new Maps app with Apple-designed cartography and turn-by-turn navigation; Facebook integration; Passbook organization; and even more Siri features and languages.
Tim Cook, CEO, Apple said, “Now today we're taking it to the next level. Making a huge leap.”
Phil Schiller, Marketing Head, Apple said, “It's the most beautiful product we've ever made. This is the monumental challenge we had - can you make a phone with more features that is smaller and lighter. Anyone can make a bigger phone. The iPhone 5 comes in black colour, and also white.”
