Intel sketches Enterprise Business Roadmap for 2014
At its year-end briefing, Intel has shared its roadmap outlined for the business in 2014. As per plans for 2014, Intel expects areas like Internet of Things (IoT), High Performance Computing (HPC), Big Data to be major growth drivers for the business with a continued focus on expanding the footprint on the National Digital Literacy Mission (NDLM).
On the consumer side of the business, Intel had on display an exciting array of latest devices like 2-in-1s, convertibles and phablets with Intel Inside to signal the beginning of wave of computing in 2014.
Srinivas Tadigadapa, Director – Enterprise Sales, Intel – South Asia, said, “The year 2013 saw Intel take major strides in the areas like IoT and HPC with their applications growing across sectors. With specific reference to HPC, India took centre stage with the Top 500 Supercomputers list recognizing 12 Supercomputers from India and elevating its position to become the seventh country among 27 countries to house the top supercomputers globally. Also, the launch of Intel’s Hadoop version II marked Intel’s foray into strengthening its software ecosystem to complement its Hardware capabilities.”
In 2014, consumers can choose from a range of devices including traditional laptops, 2-in-1s, tablets and portable all-in-ones (AIOs) with Intel Inside, across varying price points to fit every budget.
