Indus Towers rolls out NextGen towers
Indus Towers, India’s largest telecom tower company is contributing to Digital India and Smart Cities dream by building NextGen towers.
With this focus of putting up a robust NextGen Digital services network, Indus Towers today announced their nationwide initiative of aesthetic sites, a unification of world class technology and innovation, location aesthetics and environmental considerations.
Sharing his thoughts, Bimal Dayal, CEO, Indus Towers said, “With our focus on innovation that enables transformation and belief in Design Thinking approach, where we develop a solution basis customer needs, aesthetic sites roll out is a great testimony in this direction."
The company has converted over 55,000 sites into green sites. To make diesel free sites, the company has installed Free Cooling Units (FCU), Natural Cooling Units + Turbo, Micro Cooling Unit, Solar power FCU and Solar PV leading to energy savings. Optimization of energy consumption has not only brought down the cost of operations but has also created a positive impact on environment.
This goal of continuously transforming through technology innovation also reflects in how Indus Towers drives a connected workforce for operations and maintenance by equipping them with tablets and smartphones with GEO mapping (IMAPP).
Founded in 2007, Indus Towers has been promoted under a joint venture among entities of Bharti Infratel, Vodafone India and Aditya Birla Telecom by collaborating to share telecom infrastructure. Indus has presence in 15 telecom circles of India and has 121,330 towers with over 275,449 tenancies till date.
