iiNet deploys Celeno’s 802.11ac Wi-Fi For Future Hardware

Celeno Communications announced that iiNet, Australia's DSL broadband provider, iiNet has selected its 802.11ac chip for its next generation of hardware to enable data and HD video streaming directly from future products to be developed as part of the iiNet Labs product range.

The new standard which operates at the 5GHz band exclusively, aims to improve Wi-Fi capabilities by increasing modem speed and enabling operation at 80MHz bonded Wi-Fi channels. Leveraging Celeno’s OptimizAIR technology maximizes the 802.11ac Wi-Fi capabilities for whole home coverage, assuring reliable wireless video service delivery and quality of experience for multiple connected devices and helps mitigate interferences in dense deployments.
