ICT Competition organized by Huawei to cultivate Indian GenX engineer
Huawei organized the 3rd edition of its ICT Competition in India to boost the local ICT ecosystem and identify young talent.1, 100 students from nine engineering institutes across India participated in the competition. Top three students shortlisted will get a chance to represent India in the Global finals in China with an opportunity to learn from global experts.
The annual Huawei ICT competition aims to attract and develop talent in India for the growing ICT industry. Students are exposed to ICT learning and receive global certification through Huawei’s ICT Academy program which is designed to create a pipeline of industry ready future telecom professionals for Huawei’s partners.
Under the aegis Huawei organizes ICT competition across countries to invite colleges and universities to participate and encourage students for ICT technologies training.
Winners from the SEA will then participate in the global finals where teams representing other countries/regions will participate. Till now, the Huawei ICT competition has covered 61 countries across the world, with participation of over 100,000 students from 1,600 universities and colleges.

Of India’s Skill India mission, we have partnered with educational institutions and industry subject matter experts to build future ready workforce for the country. This competition will give students a global platform to showcase their talent and learn about the latest developments in ICT from experts,” said Derek Hao, President, Huawei India Enterprise Business.
