HPE reportedly plans to shed around 5,000 jobs as profits fall

Hewlett Packard Enterprise Co. is planning to cut around 5,000 workers as an attempt to reduce costs amid mounting competition, according to a published report that cited people familiar with the matter.
It is reported that the company is considering reduction of about 10 per cent of the company's total workforce of 50,000 which is likely to start before the end of the year. It is also expected to affect the workforce of United States and the company’s overseas operations, including management-level personnel. The company could not immediately be reached for comment.
