HP Inc. elevates Rajiv Srivastava as COO for APAC and Japan
HP Inc. has elevated Rajiv Srivastava as chief operating officer (COO) and head of sales strategy and operations for its Asia Pacific (APAC) and Japan operations.
In a statement, Sumeer Chandra replaces Rajiv Srivastava as managing director and general manager of HP India. Both Rajjv and Sumeer will report to HP President Asia Pacific and Japan Richard Bailey in their new roles beginning May 2017
Rajiv Srivastava as managing director at HP Inc. India was responsible for business performance and growth for the entire portfolio of the group – computing and mobility, imaging and printing products and solutions.
Under Rajiv’s leadership, PPS India has seen a transformation to become market leaders in every product category. Along with this leading position, HP has been voted The Most Admired Technology brand for 2013 by the Brand Trust Report.
He also secured and executed one of the world’s largest digital inclusion initiatives – distribution of laptop computers to 1.5 million students in the state of Uttar Pradesh, India. Rajiv has also spearheaded HP’s foray into mobility with the launch of HPs Slate VoiceTab in February 2014. Prior to his current role, Rajiv was the vice president and general manager of the Personal Systems Group at Hewlett-Packard India.
Rajiv first joined HP in 1997 as a regional sales manager, and has since held various leadership roles in the company. As one of the key members of HP’s India team, he ensured smooth integration of the Compaq acquisition helping transform the business into a leading provider of personal computing solutions.
Rajiv subsequently joined Microsoft India as the general manager for Enterprise and Partner Group (EPG). He was able to triple revenues while leading the Industry in customer and partner satisfaction and making it the fastest growing EPG area for Microsoft worldwide. In 2010, Rajiv re-joined HP as the chief operating officer of HP India. In this position he was responsible for managing strategic, commercial and financial initiatives across all business units of HP in India – Personal Systems Group- PSG, Imaging & Printing GroupIPG, Enterprise Business and Enterprise Services.
Rajiv holds a Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering from Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani and a Master’s in Marketing from Faculty of Management Studies, Delhi.
