How long will ChatGPT sustain?
ChatGPT, the artificial intelligence driven wonderbot, is taking the world by storm. Developed by OpenAI, ChatGPT was introduced in November 2022 as a prototype. It uses complex machine learning processes to generate simple solutions to problems, delivered in a surprisingly human-like manner. However, little has been spoken about whether it ensures privacy.
While the tech world is talking about the revolution of ChatGPT, Gmail’s creator Paul Buccheit took to Twitter and Faceoff on the much rumoured artificial intelligence bot ChatGPT, created by Open AI, as he expressed his fear that it may replace Google.
Google may be only a year or two away from total disruption. AI will eliminate the Search Engine Result Page, which is where they make most of their money. Even if they catch up on AI, they can't fully deploy it without destroying the most valuable part of their business.
He added that even if search engines like Google create their own version of the OpenAI-based AI model, to catch up on AI, to fully deploy it they will have to take risk of destroying their business’ most valuable part.
At the same time, Microsoft Corp.’s announcement to invest $10 billion in ChatGPT has lit up the internet since its introduction in November. The deal is expected to boost Microsoft's Azure cloud, while providing OpenAI with additional specially designed supercomputers to run its complex AI models and fuel its research. The most important is, it will bring a new hope to the much struggling BING.
Tech pundits are predicting, Microsoft must have plans to use OpenAI’s models throughout consumer and corporate products and release new categories of products based on OpenAI’s work.
Very recently, ChatGPT, has released a new tool to distinguish between AI-generated and human-generated text. The fun part is it is all about technology, Coding and it is very much a speculation game. A subject matter expert says, OpenAI's AI Text Classifier can help to detect AI-generated content, but it is not 100% accurate and can make mistakes.
At the same time, Amazon’s internal communication revealed that a company lawyer warned employees against sharing confidential information or code with the AI chatbot. This precautionary measure was taken after ChatGPT generated responses that replicated Amazon’s internal data.
Students have started using ChatGPT to finish their papers and homework. Stanford researchers have developed DetectGPT, a tool that can detect LLM generated content. DetectGPT is going to help teachers detect content generated using ChatGPT by students.
DetectGPT is a tool that has been designed to detect content generated by ChatGPT and similar tools. According to the researchers, text generated using LLMs such as ChatGPT “occupy negative curvature regions of the model's log probability function”.
After DetectGPT, Edward Tian, has announced GPTZero–GPTZeroX. This application can successfully differentiate a text generated by humans from large language models, particularly ChatGPT and alike.
After ChatGPT we have witnessed DetectGPT and GPTZero, we are going to witness various types of GPTs to arrive and in the coming days it’ll turnout in the form of PPTs.
I am sure it’ll bring an opportunity for the tech companies to ProgressGPT and the security companies will not make any stone unturned by introducing their solution as SecureGPT and ProtectGPT.
