Himachal Pradesh CM launches jio True 5G Services in the state

The Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh, Shri Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu has launched Jio True 5G services in Shimla. Apart from Shimla, it is also launched in Hamirpur, Nadaun and Bilaspur in the state of Himachal Pradesh.

The transformational benefits and the application of immersive technology in the fields of healthcare, education, and other key sectors were presented at the launch event. A peek of the generational advancement were exhibited through the Jio Community Clinic Medical Kit, and the revolutionary AR-VR device-Jio Glass.

The Honorable Chief Minister Of Himachal Pradesh, Shri Sukhvinder Singh said, “I congratulate Jio and the people of Himachal Pradesh , on the launch of Jio’s True 5G services in the state. This launch is an important milestone for the people of the state, who will benefit immensely from jio’s 5G services. 5G services will usher in a plethora of opportunities and enriched experiences for every individual, including students, businessmen and professionals. This will also bring fundamental changes in sectors like tourism, e-governance , healthcare, horticulture, agriculture, automation, education , artificial intelligence, disaster management, IT and manufacturing, etc. We all have witnessed the benefits of digital connectivity during the pandemic. Expansion of 5G services will further strengthen the digital infrastructure of the state.”

According to a Jio Spokesperson, “We are excited to commence jio True 5G services in Himachal Pradesh from Shimla, Hamirpur, Nadaun, and Bilaspur. Reliance Jio announced the launch of its True 5G services across 17 cities namely Ankleshwar, Savarkundla, Bilaspur, Hamirpur, Nadaun, Shimla, Chhindwara, Ratlam, Rewa, Sagar, Akola, Parbhani, Bathinda, Khanna, Mandi Gobindgarh, Bhilwara, Sri Ganganagar, Sikar, Haldwani-Kathgodam, Rishikesh, and Rudrapur.

Reliance Jio has become the first and the only operator to launch 5G services in majority of these cities supported by the State Governments and administration.
