Scotland’s environmental protection government regulators were hit by a ransomware attack on Christmas Eve, in the process of which cybercriminals stole 1.2 GB of data. Almost a month after the attack, SEPA services remained suspended, but authorities nevertheless revealed that they were not involved with the people behind the attack.
