Gwyneth Paltrow's 'Goop Lab' Features On Netflix Jumps Into Controversy
Netflix is the world's leading streaming entertainment service with over 158 million paid memberships in over 190 countries enjoying TV series, documentaries and feature films across a wide variety of genres and languages.
The trailer for Gwyneth Paltrow’s upcoming show “The Goop Lab” on Netflix is sparking new controversy about her lifestyle brand. Produced and hosted by Paltrow and featuring Goop's chief content officer Elise Loehnen, the series is titled after Paltrow’s lifestyle brand, which launched in 2008.
The goop lab with Gwyneth Paltrow is a six-episode series, guiding the deeply inquisitive viewer in an exploration of boundary-pushing wellness topics, including: psychedelics, cold therapy, female pleasure, anti-aging, energy healing and psychics. The goop lab launches on Netflix January 24, 2020.
Each of the six episodes in the first season will focus on a different area of wellness, including female sexual pleasure, therapy and energy healing.
The new trailer promises discussion around “boundary-pushing” wellness topics with experts and practitioners. One featured clip includes a discussion in which Paltrow and Loehnen are asked if they’ve ever examined their own vulvas by a sex therapist.
