Google makes Duet AI available

After bringing AI-powered enhancements to Workspace apps, Google is bringing the same firepower for security operations in the form of Duet AI. The company has also announced the general availability of Duet AI for Developers.  

Duet AI is similar to Copilot from Microsoft, and is expected to be available early next year. With Duet AI in Security Operations, teams responsible for online security will be able to accelerate threat detection, investigate and respond using generative AI.  

This capability integrates the company's security intelligence, utilizing Mandiant's frontline information on vulnerabilities, malware, and threat indicators to assist defenders in safeguarding their organizations.  

With Duet AI in Security Operations, teams can swiftly search extensive data using custom queries generated from natural language. This approach not only reduces the need for time-consuming reviews but also enables the rapid identification of critical context through the automatic summarization of case data and alerts. 

“The AI capabilities will also help the security teams to improve response time using recommendations for next steps to support incident remediation,” the company said in a blog post. 

Duet AI in Security Operations will be included as part of Google Cloud’s Security Operations Enterprise and Enterprise Plus packages. 

Apart from Duet AI for Security Operations and Workspace apps, it is also available for Developers at no cost. Starting today to Feb 1, 2024, users can visit the web page and follow the instructions to use Duet AI for Developers at no charge.
