Brightcove recently released the report - an in-depth guide of audience insights to help organizations build a successful OTT strategy for 2021 and beyond, titled “The Future of OTT in South Asia”.

2020 was the year the streaming wars intensified and 2021 will see more of the same. Consumers’ expectations have never been higher. Brightcove surveyed over 3,000 people ages 16+, in India, Bangladesh and Pakistan to gain insights into consumer behavior so OTT services understand viewers' preferences, likes, and needs to deliver the services and content consumers want, where they want.
The report is the first study of its kind in the market, which investigates consumers' streaming habits and preferences. Brightcove commissioned the research in partnership with Milieu, a consumer research and data analytics firm.
This edition covers seven countries, comprising more than 3,000 unique online respondents in India, Bangladesh and Pakistan. The results are representative of the Online Population for those aged 16 and above in each country surveyed. Fieldwork was conducted throughout July 2020.
