Former Shine.com CTO, Amardeep Vishwakarma joins the Indian Express
The Indian Express has announced the appointment of Amardeep Vishwakarma, former CTO of Shine.com, as its new CTO.
Amardeep will be responsible for driving content personalization, enhancing user experience and increasing online readership with the help of digital technologies. He has officially joined The Indian Express from 15 July.
As the new CTO, Amardeep prioritizes page performance and believes that the user interface has to be extremely efficient and agile.
His strategy will include optimizing the online platform to enhance reader experience. Another key focus will be content personalization, which will include recommending content based on reader’s interest. The idea is to leverage data that already exists by using AI/ML and data analytics. The IT team will also focus on building new products around this data.
Amardeep has extensive experience in IT, with expertise in managing and scaling high traffic websites. Prior to The Indian Express, he has spearheaded tech transformation initiatives at Shine.com, Info Edge India, Shareaholic and Naukri.com.
