Flipkart announces its UPI services
Flipkart has launched its unified payments interface (UPI) services which will allow its users to set up their own UPI handle for online and offline merchant transactions within and outside of the e-commerce marketplace. Using the Flipkart app, UPI can be used to pay for any product or service, including e-commerce transactions, scan and pay to UPI ID, and recharges and bill payments.
The e-commerce giant has launched the service in association with Axis Bank. Initially the service is available for Android users.
Flipkart India’s Chief Corporate Affairs Officer, Rajneesh Kumar has announced the launch of Flipkart's own UPI handle on Sunday (March 3) on X. The post mentioned Flipkart has partnered with Axis Bank for the feature and it is currently limited to Android users. Customers can register for the Flipkart UPI service with the @fkaxis handle for their digital transactions using the Flipkart app.
Apart from the UPI service, the company is offering a range of benefits which includes supercoins, cashback, and vouchers for Flipkart UPI transactions. Users can get ten supercoins on their first five scans and pay transactions on a minimum payment of Rs. 100. Similarly, the Walmart-backed e-commerce company is offering flat Rs. 25 off on the first Flipkart order.
