Emerson and Gravity Technologies help differently-abled citizens of Bangalore
In the spirit of giving back to society, Emerson Network Power and Gravity Technologies have donated three scooters to help differently abled citizens of Bangalore at an event organized at Press Club Bangalore. The scooters have been retro fitted to enhance their mobility, ensuring that the people using them can drive around with ease.
Both companies pooled in their resources as a part of their social initiative to help the three differently abled citizens (who belong to the underprivileged sections of the society) to live a healthier and successful life. The United Nations International Day of Persons with Disability was recently observed globally on December 3, 2014 and according to the 2011 national census, the number of people in India with disability stands at 2.68 crore.
“Emerson Network Power is proud to work with Gravity India Technologies Pvt. Ltd to identify the special needs of differently abled citizens. We look forward to the progress made by this project and aim to contribute towards creating an integrated and inclusive society,” said Sunil Khanna, President and Managing Director, Emerson Network Power in India.
Both, Emerson Network Power and Gravity India Technologies will continue to work with the differently-abled citizens towards their empowerment.
