Eightfold address this talent gap with Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology. Today, there are upwards of 100 million professionals in India. According to NASSCOM, 40% of India’s workforce needs to be re-skilled. With our AI platform, we understand to needs to be re-skilled for what job. Eightfold helps to put right people to right job at the right time.
Eightfold has a Talent Intelligence Platform which helps companies to reduce time-to-hire, cost-of-hire and improve quality of hiring and the goal is to work with local talent and to help organizations, enterprises and institutions in India grow and contribute towards achieving the dream of a 5 trillion dollar economy. says, Ashutosh Garg, CEO & Co-Founder at Eightfold.ai. It is addressing the talent crisis - and how we can solve it with advances in AI (artificial intelligence) and ML (machine learning). In an exclusive Fire chat session with VARINDIA..
How Eightfold.ai could help a graduate engineer from Electrical engineering help him to get a job as graphic designer?
Eightfold.ai platform first analyses the skills which candidate is lagging to get there. We consider the details like
- # If there are projects that he can do to acquire those skills
- # If there is a course that he can do to acquire those skills
- # If there are job roles which can little bit leverage the basic skills that has and also offer him the advanced graphic designing skills
# With these details and with the help of Machine Learning (ML), we calculate the gap between the particular individual and his required job, and according offer right path and guide him to get there.
How do you solve the same in the business case?
We reach out to enterprises and study the number and type of open positions. Also we do a behavioral analysis of the current employees based on their actions they have done in the past (like whether they are happy with work/company, whether they are engaged to the role or not, how often they switch jobs, what is the feedback on current team/project etc.) and predict who is likely to leave the organization. We collect the data from the company like emails, calenders, leaves etc., and build a model based on the data and say the company about the people likely to leave.
According to our survey, 54% of people who left the company said that they would have rather taken another job role within the same company, versus leaving. So we provide the software to enterprises to manage the internal talent and help them to hire people from the company first. This helps the companies to reduce the iteration and time to fill the position. Secondly, Eightfold.ai platform helps in talent acquisition from outside the organization by providing information to recruiting managers on how can you appeal to the candidate and how can you make it exciting to the candidate to join you. Third and important aspect is Talent Diversity. Our platform eliminates gender/human bias, provide accountability, and deliver the diversity your board of directors and your workforce demand.
What kind of opportunity do you see in this business?
In US, the cost-per-hire is $5000 and every person is searching for a job, every two years. On an average, the job is open for two months. So the company is facing huge costs to fill a position, every year. Through us, companies are able to reduce the cost-per-hire by 40% and time to fill position by 80%. Thus, we are helping organizations to keep their business processes running and hence, we find a great opportunity to foray into enterprise markets across globe.
