Under the Department of Atomic Energy, ECIL was established in 1967. The primary objective of the organization was production of products developed at BARC, Mumbai in order to support the Country’s Nuclear Power and other Atomic Energy Programmes. It has also created a strong indigenous / production base in the Country for professional grade electronics spanning from small passive components to large and complex computer based systems. The Company has thus evolved over the years as a multi-product Company serving multiple sectors of Indian economy. Under the organization’s CSR initiative, ECIL has handed over the “Healthcare Equipment - “Thermal Scanners” to Telangana Government which will be used for Entry Point Screening of Personnel to combat the spread of COVID - the pandemic. This solution has been developed indigenously by ECIL based on Thermal Camera for entry point screening.
