Doosan Infracore chooses o9 Solutions as Integrated Business Planning partner
o9 Solutions has announced that it would supply its next-generation AI-powered integrated business planning platform for real-time demand and supply planning management to Doosan Infracore.
Doosan Infracore is a Korean construction machinery and engine company with production facilities in Korea, China, and Norway and sales companies, branch offices, and dealer networks worldwide. Doosan Infracore supports both make-to-stock (MTS) and make-to-order (MTO) production according to market conditions and strategies. The company recently decided to deploy a smart supply chain management system to dynamically respond to shifting demand and optimize resource distribution.
o9 Solutions has offered its supply planning solution, providing Doosan Infracore with a core platform that draws upon the accumulated experience and knowledge from various industries, both within Korea and abroad. o9 is also supplementing the core platform with MVP (Minimum Viable Product) planning templates that have been in development since October 2020. Additionally, o9 Solutions developed a workflow that supports not only supply resource distribution but also data-driven decision-making.
With the implementation of o9 Solutions’ Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) system, Doosan Infracore expects to optimize supply while factoring in both forecasts and actual orders; establish data-driven strategic supply planning; increase supply responsiveness to market fluctuations while reducing excess inventory; enrich customer service quality; and decrease costs related to emergency shipping and supply shortfalls.
Igor Rikalo, COO of o9 Solutions, says, “We are honored to help Doosan Infracore establish a flexible supply management solution that combines our SCM platform with our global experience serving customers around the world. We will configure the platform for Doosan Infracore’s integrated business planning, its unique supply management needs, and will provide active support to ensure a positive contribution to Doosan Infracore profitability.”
