DISTREE APAC 2017 presents a platform for top tech brands with Asia's leading distributors and retailers

DISTREE APAC 2017 presents a platform for top tech brands with Asia's leading distributors and retailers

DISTREE Asia Pacific (APAC) has taken place at the Grand Copthorne Waterfront Hotel in Singapore on 8th to 10th November 2017. This week’s event gathers more than 170 senior executives from consumer tech vendors, distributors, retailers and e-tailers in one place at one time. During the three-day event, exhibitors hold pre-scheduled one-on-one meetings with buyers and senior channel executives from across the region. DISTREE APAC 2017 is supported by Event Partners GfK and IE Singapore; Content Partners CONTEXT, GfK, Quadmark and Sixth factor; plus Media Partners VAR India and Channel APAC.

Christophe Painvin, Executive Director at DISTREE Events, said, “This is the fifth annual DISTREE APAC and we want to thank all of this year’s exhibitors and delegates for joining us this week. DISTREE APAC is a powerful business development platform for brands looking to manage, build or launch routes to market for consumer technology products in the fast-growing Asian region.”

More than 600 one-one-one meetings have been pre-scheduled for DISTREE APAC using the event’s powerful web platform. Many more meetings will be arranged on site as delegates look to take full advantage of the business networking opportunity the event format provides. Distributors from across the wider APAC region are present, giving exhibitors a cost-effective and efficient opportunity to promote themselves on a regional basis.

“DISTREE APAC is a highly focused hosted buyer event and is far removed from a traditional trade show,” added Painvin. “Each invited distributor and retailer is pre-qualified by the DISTREE recruitment team, ensuring both the quality and relevance of meetings that take place at the event.”

DISTREE APAC offers all delegates a compelling mix of pre-scheduled meetings, keynote speeches, workshop sessions, awards and professional networking opportunities. Keynotes on virtual reality (VR), distributor transformation and consumer behaviour will take place during DISTREE APAC.

Exhibitors at DISTREE APAC 2017 represent the entire consumer tech product landscape, including high-growth product categories such as mobile devices, mobile accessories, smart home solutions, components, memory, connected devices and gaming products.

This year’s exhibitor base includes a wide range of consumer tech device and accessories brands at different stages of channel development. For brands that have existing distribution channels in APAC, the event provides a highly efficient platform for meeting with existing partners. DISTREE APAC also provides brands that are new to the region with a unique opportunity to broaden their market knowledge and evaluate potential channel partners reaching 20-plus countries.

DISTREE APAC’s pre-event regional channel survey revealed that 84% of distributors and retailers expected to increase the number of brands in their portfolio in the next six months, with only 16% expecting a decline. For distributors only, 89% of respondents expected to sign new vendors in the next six months.
