The development of digital public infrastructure (DPI) in India in the last decade has steered the growth of startups in India. The development in India is currently in a better position than it was a decade ago, which has spurred a cluster of startup IPOs in the Delhi-NCR region.
DPI has driven the growth of startups in India holds significant truth. DPI initiatives like BharatNet have significantly increased internet penetration in rural areas, providing a larger market and talent pool for startups and the initiatives like Digital India have promoted digital literacy, creating a more tech-savvy population receptive to new startups.

DPI's impact on Fintech, Agritech, Edtech , Deeptech and Healthcare startups in the country is significant. The rising middle class in India has been a large enabler for consumer facing companies. State-level incubation centres, setup by the government, are a remarkable step to empower students to build their startup.
At the same time, there are certain Challenges , while DPI has made significant progress, there are still disparities in internet access and digital literacy across different regions and demographics. There are major concerns like Data privacy and security: Ensuring data privacy and security is crucial for building trust and encouraging innovation in the digital space.
Overall, DPI has played a significant role in nurturing the Indian startup ecosystem. By further developing and optimizing DPI initiatives, the government can continue to create a conducive environment for startups to thrive and contribute to India's economic and social progress.
