Current trends in the surveillance market in India
The industry has reached next stage after evolution, but still has a long way to go. Rajshekhar Bhatt, AVP – Surveillance, DIGISOL, says, “End-clients are becoming aware as they know the importance of surveillance. Right now, people prefer Analogue vs IP surveillance because of cost and other factors. But IP is definitely growing rapidly. Adoption of technology is always subjected to frequent use of the same. As people will start using the product and technology would start appreciating the new or upcoming trend, the onus is on the industry to make people aware and show the importance of new technology. Of course, IP is a better technology and offers better value for money, especially in mid to large installation but the true RoI is realized over a period of time not immediately but after the installation.”
