Curve’s new member – 9220
Every BlackBerry Curve model has created ripples in the market. But the latest BlackBerry Curve 9220 has gone a step ahead. Claimed to be an entry-level phone from the house of RIM, the phone runs on BlackBerry OS 7.1 operating system. It clubs popular BlackBerry messaging and other social-centric features that people love in India. The phone features the characteristic BlackBerry QWERTY keypad with a touch-sensitive optical track-pad. The phone has a bar shaped form-factor and comes with a 2.44" display. Don't worry it would not make you feel that you are holding the same old Curve models as the new 9220 has larger keys and slightly changed design, allowing an overall comfortable typing experience.
The only discouraging feature could be that it runs on quad-band 2G networks, but this too could be ignored considering that how many of us in India use 3G extensively. The phone connects to the internet using EDGE, GPRS and Wi-Fi. The phone has a Bluetooth 2.1 and micro USB 2.0 to cater to other connectivity needs. The phone has a 1450 mAh standard Li-Ion battery that provides up to 7 hours of talk-time. The phone comes with an in-built memory of 512MB and option of supporting up to 32GB micro SD card slot.
