Collaboration platform Flock to invest $25 mn for product innovation
Flock, the #1 Team Messenger has announced plans to invest $25 million to enhance product innovation and meet global demand.
The added funding is in addition to Bhavin Turakhia's original investment of $20 million. As the company closes in on Slack for a larger share of the enterprise market, it also announced that it has expanded to the US, Brazil, the UK, Russia, and Spain, with the addition of native language support in each location.
“Since Flock entered the market, we’ve experienced significant global traction and 200 percent growth. Accelerated demand for the need to increase efficiency across teams has provided us with every reason to continue to expand globally and for me to prepare to invest additional capital,” said Bhavin Turakhia.
“At Flock, we are deeply committed to enhancing team and organizational productivity. Surveys and interviews with our global users clearly demonstrated that over 80% of professionals prefer using software in their native language. We immediately made it a priority to develop multilingual support for our users worldwide,” added Turakhia.
The latest version of Flock app comes with one of its strongest feature updates - introduction of public channels to make it easier for users to discover and join conversations that interest them, within the team. It also introduces two native apps to help users improve efficiency and task management - Shared To-Dos to create and assign tasks, with due dates and My Favorites, to bookmark important messages, files, or links in a chat.
