Cisco ties up with Govt. of Rajasthan to enable Digital Learning
The Education Department under the Government of Rajasthan has announced a unique initiative to promote digital learning across the state using virtual digital rooms through Cisco’s Connected Learning solution. This initiative aims to enhance the quality of education through digital learning for academia to connect, collaborate, create, and share content across 12 centres of State Institute for Education Management And Training (SIEMAT) in the state. The initiative was inaugurated by the Chief Minister of Rajasthan, Vasundhara Raje on the occasion of Teachers' Day, in an interaction with educators and students across all 12 SIEMAT facilities live – via the Connected Learning setup.
With this collaboration Cisco, along with the Government of Rajasthan, strengthens the foundation of next generation education to empower teachers as well as students through innovative approaches to pedagogy and learning, supports the teachers’ professional development, and provides them with tools to implement and manage training. Under this association, Cisco and SIEMAT have committed to 50,000 man-hours of training annually through its virtual digital classrooms.
Vasundhara Raje, Chief Minister of Rajasthan, said, “This digital learning initiative will result in quantitative and qualitative enhancement of our training capabilities, ability to leverage experts across the state without having to move locations, while simultaneously improving productivity levels to impart a better quality education to the youth of the State. Innovative partnerships such as this are essential if we are to transform the education system in the state of Rajasthan and prepare students to succeed in a digitized economy. Through this initiative, we aim to leverage technology to drive innovation in education and help transform Rajasthan into the State of the future. This is yet another component of our efforts towards creating Digital Rajasthan.”

Cisco has partnered with the Govt. of Rajasthan to establish Digital Learning Solution Rooms (DLSRs) which will deploy virtual digital classrooms across 12 institutes as part of the government’s on-going social initiatives program locations in Rajasthan.
