Brocade’s core network solution to support University Research

Brocade and the University of Florida have jointly announced the upgradation of the Brocade’s core network which is connected with the institution’s HiPerGator supercomputer and external research networks, such as Internet2 Innovation Platform. The deployment of Brocade MLXe Core Routers with 100 Gigabit Ethernet (GbE) blades and Brocade ICX Switches will enable the university’s faculty, students and researchers to transfer large amounts of data at high speeds across the campus and globally to a wide range of research partners.

With these upgrades, the University of Florida has improved access to the HiPerGator supercomputer.
