Bosch Software Innovations and MongoDB together to provide Big Data Solutions
Bosch Software Innovations and MongoDB have announced that the companies will work together to deliver big data solutions to the mobility, retail/supply chain and manufacturing markets.
It is expected that by 2022 more than 14 billion devices, appliances and systems will be connected. This creates a large amount of unstructured data. Thus, big data solutions are increasingly needed. Bosch Software Innovations partners with MongoDB to support the development of applications that utilize and analyze rich new sources of complex, real-time data from sensors and other connected devices, like cars and industrial machines. The software suite by Bosch Software Innovations allows devices to be securely integrated in business processes on the basis of predefined rules. This creates a platform for connecting distributed things and devices in order to provide applications for the Internet of Things (IoT), such as fleet management and predictive maintenance. In combination with MongoDB’s proven scalability and dynamic data model, this opens up the possibility to further unlock the potential of the IoT for customers around the globe.
“The value of Internet of Things applications can only be fully realized when analysis is delivered in real time – providing the ability to react and respond as processes are in-flight. These applications call for innovative software development methodologies and flexible data models. MongoDB’s scalable, flexible and secure data management platform and our market-proven software suite for the Internet of Things will allow our customers to profit from a faster realization of their business models, as well as rapid adaptations and enhancements, that are imminent for being successful in the Internet of Things,” said Dr Rainer Kallenbach, CEO, Bosch Software Innovations.
Bosch Software Innovations globally works with clients to address their connectivity needs in a networked world, to successfully implement new business models today. The company’s software suite comprises core products for Business Process Management (BPM), Business Rules Management (BRM), and Device Management (M2M), and can be used in a wide range of IoT application scenarios, including mobility, energy, manufacturing, smart home, and smart cities.
