Blox appoints Amit Goel as the new Chief Technology Officer

Blox, India’s first prop-tech and consumer driven real estate buying platform founded by Aditya Jhaveri, has onboarded Amit Goel as its Chief Technology Officer.

Blox is a revolutionary homebuying platform, one of its kind in India, led by Founder & CEO Aditya Jhaveri. The brand is rapidly progressing in the Indian real estate sector with the support of renowned investors from across the globe, such as Tinder founder, Justin Mateen. The brand also has a post funding valuation of $12M, making it one of the high valued startups at the early seed stage.

Amit Goel holds a MS from BITS Pilani, and an impressive educational background from many other reputed institutions including IIM, Lucknow. Alongside his education, he also owns 3 patents, 2 patents pending in areas of Semantic Search and Biometric Security.

With more than a decade of experience in AI, he has worked in segments like consumer internet, payments, finance and trading which helps in holistic designing and delivering. He has architected and implemented Semantic Search (AI) based products from scratch for 3 years with semantic insights, creating NLP models for reading and writing. He has worked for various startups and MNCs. At CA Tech, he scaled application monitoring to support billions of transactions per second; processing business data, analytics and revenue. At PayPal he contributed to developing multiple MVPs. At Roomoncall, he developed the product from scratch to handle millions of dollar GMV at scale. While at Dhani, he handled consumer finance and stocks, and revamped the customer onboarding experience on the app that reduced onboarding time from days to seconds.

At Blox, with additional responsibilities, Amit will overcome the regulatory industry with RERA and other compliances which brings its own challenges to remain compliant. As the real-estate has its reputation and trust issues, gaining customer confidence and trust to enable them to make this pricey purchase online with life savings would be a tiresome and a challenge for him. However, he looks forward to taking it up with implementing the right technologies like blockchain, AI, ML, AR/VR, IOT, drone for relevant use, cases with effective CRM, and operation efficient backend, together to bring an effective customer centric experience and support.
