Bitdefender strives to enhance security through its product offerings

India has emerged as the 3rd most vulnerable country in terms of spams, bots attack, network attacks and ransomware attacks being the most significant one. It has also led to crypto jacking in the ransomware market which has further led to the rise of threats in personal and cyber security. In recent times, data breach has been a grave concern and doing the roundsin different sectors of India. 

Talking about the trends emerging in the present security landscape across India, Zakir Hussain, Director, BD soft, Country Partner of Bitdefender says, “The most used social media website Facebook has been a victim of data breaching. Over half a million people in India have been affected by the illegal hack that is taking the rounds of the country. This has further led to a threat of massive data breach in some of the significant Indian organizations. Official websites of several Indian state government websites have also been put at risk too. There are several other Indian organizations that have been retargeted over and over again. Apart from that, internet hackers are increasingly targeting cryptocurrencies.”

Speaking further he adds, “As digitalization is evolving, the growing popularity of mobile banking & digital wallet has given these hackers the access to personal information which makes it easy for them to instigate their hack which further adds on to a major threat in the cyber world. DDOS (Distributed Denial of Service) is also one such significant attack that is carried out by thousands of different computers on a single website. Such attacks are a threat to online sites; especially e-commerce sites become a major victim and often end up losing thousands of dollars because of their failure in serving their potential customers. IoT (Industry of Things) has produced different ways to interact and exchange data which makes it easy for the hackers to take advantage of the situation and gain access to all the information that is being exchanged online. Hence, this has given rise to botnets in the internet world.Overall the security landscape has been very adventurous and threatening in India.”
 

Adoption of security intelligence...

At present, the surveillance market is highly competitive with several brands; of which all of them are claiming to be steadfast for same purpose. Bitdefender that is present in the consumer market, SMB and enterprise market as well, also has a well-structured marketing plan for each of the markets, as well as for both online and offline campaigns for the awareness of not just brand but the cyber-security threats too.
