Bajaj Allianz appoints Goutam Datta as CI&TO
Datta joined Bajaj Allianz Insurance as the Chief Information and Technology Officer (CI&TO) in November last year. Datta heads the technology and innovation team and is a part of the company’s management committee.
Goutam, Datta, CI&TO, Bajaj Allianz Insurance, says, “I joined Bajaj Allianz Insurance two months ago and I will lead the technology and innovation at the company. I will be looking at everything related to technology.”
Previously Datta was the vice-president – Technology at ICICI Lombard, for a period of 15 years. He has also worked in companies such as Essel Group, Tata Infotech and Adsoft. Datta has more than 22 years of experience in the industry. His expertise is in strategizing, spearheading large-scale technology operations and enabling companies in the journey of evolution from traditional business process to customer experience-centric processes through digital implementations. He is well known for implementing algorithmic projects (cognitive/AI) platform to redefine traditional insurance space.
