Avnet along with Veeam Software expands its Data Center Capabilities

Avnet has expanded its distribution agreement with Veeam Software. This expanded agreement will see Avnet Technology Solutions deliver Veeam availability solutions to their solution provider partners in India. Avnet offers Veeam solutions in all the major regions of the world, including Asia-Pacific, the Americas and Europe.

Veeam is a key component in many converged infrastructure solutions, providing vital backup, disaster recovery and virtualization management capabilities to enable the always-on enterprise. Combining Veeam’s products and Avnet’s market-proven expertise, these offerings will enable channel partners to more effectively address their customers’ business needs.

Avnet’s education services business, Avnet Academy has also become an official Veeam Authorized Education Centre (VMAEC). Through this collaboration with Veeam Software, Avnet will roll out a VMAEC training programme in India that will empower partners and customers to leverage growing demand for modern data protection. The VMAEC programme is designed to deliver the technical courses required for partners, customers and resellers to achieve Veeam Certified Engineer (VMCE) status. The VMCE course is a technical deep-dive, with intensive hands-on exercises, that provides IT professionals with extensive knowledge of Veeam solutions covering areas, including configuration, features, functionality and deployment. The VMCE certification not only provides recognition of an individual’s expertise in virtualization, backup, recovery and replication solutions from Veeam, but allows IT professionals to increase productivity and reduce the overall cost of IT infrastructure.
