Avaya ropes in Priyadarshi Mohapatra as MD for India and SAARC

As per the latest update, Avaya has appointed Priyadarshi Mohapatra as Managing Director, India and SAARC. At Avaya, Priyadarshi will be responsible for providing strategic direction to the India operations, managing India business priorities, and enhancing Avaya’s position as a leading business communications company.

Priyadarshi, a 17-year veteran of the industry, joins Avaya from SAP where he spent the last six years and held various leadership positions, most recently leading the Ecosystem, Channels and General Business for SAP across the Indian subcontinent. Prior to joining SAP, Priyadarshi started the retail practice for Sun Microsystems in India and in two years turned it into the most successful new practice. He previously co-founded Oyzterbay, a venture capital-funded jewellery chain that became the second-largest jewellery retail chain in India. Priyadarshi holds a Chemical Engineering degree from NIT Rourkela and a postgraduate degree in management from the Xavier Institute of Management, Bhubaneswar.
