ASUS announces launch of ZenBook Flip S (UX370) convertible Laptop

ASUS has introduced ZenBook Flip S (UX370), a lightweight convertible laptop. The UX370 is mere 11.2mm thin and weighing just 1.1 kg and is a powerful performing machine, with latest 8th-gen Intel Core i7-8550U processor with on-board LPDDR3 16GB RAM.

Speaking on the sidelines of the event, Arnold Su, Business Development Manager, ASUS India, said, “We have seen a huge growth in the stylish yet powerful notebooks in the coming year and with the Zenbook Flip S UX370, it becomes a perfect companion for those looking for stylish and powerful notebook for daily use.”

Talking about the features, the unibody of ZenBook Flip S is just 11.2mm thin and weighs a mere 1.1 kg. It is precision-crafted from a single block of aerospace-grade 6013 aluminum alloy, a material that is lighter than standard laptop alloy but 50 per cent stronger.

ZenBook Flip S incorporates the new ErgoLift hinge – one of the world’s most compact 360° hinges. The ErgoLift hinge features a precision-engineered multigear metal mechanism, with a silky-smooth, stepless action that holds the display securely at any angle. This innovative hinge has a dual-action mechanism that lifts and tilts the keyboard into the perfect typing position when the display is opened beyond 135°. To ensure maximum reliability, the ErgoLift hinge is subjected to a 20,000-cycle open-and-close test.

ZenBook Flip S incorporates state-of-the-art components that deliver unprecedented performance in an ultrathin and ultralight form factor. Its powerful 8th-Generation Intel Core i7 processor and up to 16GB of 2,133MHz LPDDR3 RAM ensure effortless performance for smooth multitasking.

The two USB-C ports on ZenBook Flip S support external 4K UHD displays, power delivery and data transfer – all via the reversible, any-way-up USB-C connector. For added on-the-go convenience, the bundled Mini Dock provides an HDMI port, a USB 3.1 port, and a USB-C port that supports fast charging.

To achieve its remarkable up to 11-hour battery life, ZenBook Flip S uses a specially designed high-capacity 39Wh lithium-polymer battery that is shaped to fit precisely into its impossibly thin profile. The battery supports fast-charge technology that allows it to be charged to 60 per cent capacity in just 49 minutes.

The Flipbook Flip Ux370 comes with an amazing 13.3' Touch screen FHD display with resolution of 1920 x108- pixels with 300nits brightness and 72% NTSC standard. Zenbook Flip Ux370 makes multitasking easier and entertainment more immersive, which is why ZenBook Flip S features a 13.3-inch NanoEdge multi-touch display technology. The display is ultrathin with just 6.11mm physical bezel that gives it an incredible 80-per cent screen-to-body ratio. With a resolution of FHD 1920x1080 16:9 and an incredible pixel density of 330 pixels per inch, this stunning display features 178° wide-view technology that ensures image clarity at almost any viewing angle. The ergonomic backlit keyboard on ZenBook Flip S features full-size keys with 1mm travel for comfortable typing, and the highly accurate touchpad features precision touchpad (PTP) technology and ASUS Smart Gesture support for a more intuitive and natural feel. ASUS Smart Gesture allows up to four-finger gestures in Windows 10. The touchpad is superbly engineered for maximum comfort and accuracy, with a glass covering for smooth control. It also incorporates palm-rejection technology and handwriting support.

ZenBook Flip S supports all the latest innovative features in Windows 10, to give users a premium Windows experience. These features include Cortana, the clever new voice-controlled personal digital assistant; Windows Hello for easy and secure biometric login; Windows Ink for intuitive drawing, sketching and annotating with a stylus, and Modern Standby for near-instant resume from sleep mode.

According to the company, the ASUS Zenbook flip UX370 will be available to all retail partners in India for Rs.1,30,990.
