By VARINDIA - 2020-01-02
The New Year and a new decade have just begun. Not only people from the earth, but even those in space are excited to welcome the New Year 2020.
Six NASA astronauts in orbit recently welcomed the New Year while in space. “Happy New Year from low earth orbit“ wrote NASA astronaut Andrew Morgan on the official page of the International Space Station (ISS).
The astronauts across space celebrated the New Year at 5.30 A.M. as per Indian Standard Time (IST). The space station operates in Greenwich Mean Time (GMT).
ISS later tweeted, “We’re usually counting down to liftoff, but today we’re counting down to 2020,”
