Artesyn introduces new 85 Watt dc-dc Converter
Artesyn Embedded Technologies has announced the new AVD85 family of 85 Watt, 1/16th brick, high efficiency, fully regulated dc-dc converters. The AVD85 offers excellent thermal performance, high-power density of 72.5 W/in2 and delivers a peak efficiency of 92 per cent. Optimized for high-density applications with restricted space, the AVD85 family provides an adjustable output voltage range with a 36 Vdc to 75 Vdc input range.
“The launch of the new AVD85 brick family follows the recent announcement of Artesyn's strategy to become the supplier of choice for board-mounted dc-dc power solutions. The AVD85 solutions are a part of the continuing enhancement of the product portfolio that will address the growing demand in the communications world for highly efficient power conversion with a lower cost of ownership,” said Andy Brown, technical marketing director for dc-dc products at Artesyn Embedded Technologies.
The AVD85 and other new dc-dc product ranges will be available through the company’s global channel network or directly from Artesyn.
