Amazon Development Centre Pvt. Ltd India has opened its new Customer Service Centre in Noida. The new customer service facility was officially inaugurated at Candor Tech space, Sector – 62, Noida by Dr Omkar Rai, Director General, Software Technology Parks of India (STPI), in the presence of Martin Haas, Director CS Asia, Amazon.
According to the company, this is Amazon’s first customer service centre in North India. This will support Amazon’s India as well as global customers 24*7, with pre and post order customer service through various mediums like email, chat and phone. The sites will also host teams that provide support to Amazon India’s operations in the form of training, workflow, etc. The facilities will help create employment for hundreds of customer service personnel in the northern region including states like Delhi NCR, Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan.
On the opening of new centre, Dr Omkar Rai, Director General, Software Technology Parks of India (STPI), said, “We congratulate and welcome Amazon for their endeavours in the IT expansion around the country and are very pleased with the establishment of their latest customer service facility in Noida under the STP scheme. This investment by Amazon will not only open up new job opportunities for hundreds of people especially youth, but also enhances the profile of the region as an IT destination.”
Talking about the benefits of the new Customer Service facility, Bharat Chadha, Director India CS, Amazon, said, “Amazon aims to be the earth's most customer-centric company and we are constantly enhancing our capabilities to enhance customer experience. Noida is a fast-growing and vibrant city with good infrastructure and a great talent pool. We are certain that the new service centre will further enable Amazon to deliver consistently high levels of customer experience. As we expand and grow our footprint in India, we continue to explore new destinations for setting up CS sites basis availability of infrastructure, talent pool and scalability.”
Amazon now has five Customer Service facilities across India with two sites in Hyderabad, one in Pune, one in Coimbatore which was launched earlier this year, in addition to the latest one in Noida. The new Noida facility is fully operational and hiring for this site has already started.
