Al chatbot
There is huge potential of technology in transforming industries such as healthcare and transportation, stating that disruptive innovations can lead to more efficient and affordable solutions. The chatbot plays a key role in driving digital transformation that enables the improvement of customer experience and increased revenues.
The impact of chatbots on job market is a topic of discussion and analysis. While it's true that the introduction of chatbots and automation can lead to changes in employment patterns, it's important to understand the full picture. This is because chatbots can be used to automate many of the tasks that are currently performed by human customer support representatives.
Chatbots are designed to handle routine and repetitive tasks, such as answering frequently asked questions or providing basic customer support. By automating these tasks, chatbots can free up human employees to focus on more complex and value-added activities. This can lead to increased productivity and efficiency within organizations.
While some jobs in customer support or call centers may be affected by the implementation of chatbots, new roles can also emerge. Companies often require human agents to handle more complex customer inquiries or provide personalized assistance that goes beyond the capabilities of chatbots.
Additionally, the development, maintenance, and improvement of chatbot systems themselves can create employment opportunities in fields such as AI development, data analysis, and user experience design.
All the clamour around artificial intelligence posing a threat to our jobs seem to be getting real.
Bengaluru-based startup Dukaan, which laid off 90% of its customer support team or some 23 employees in September last year, has replaced the functions of the department with an Al chatbot Lina.
With this the startup's customer support costs reduced by 85% due to the move. As per the spokesperson of Dukaan, Whatever they used to spend in terms of the salaries for the customer support staff are not required anymore. The company has retained only two-to-three customer support executives.
With this there are stress and anxiety related to job security in the market, including concerns about layoffs and the impact of AI, can contribute to increased alcohol consumption in some individuals as a coping mechanism. However, it is crucial to recognize healthier coping strategies and provide support to individuals facing such challenges.
The impact of AI chatbots on customer support jobs is still being debated. Some experts believe that chatbots will lead to a significant number of job losses, while others believe that chatbots will create new jobs in the long run. It is important for businesses to carefully consider the pros and cons of chatbots before automating their customer support operations.
