Airtel partners Google for next generation networks
For working on the next generation mobile networks, Google today announced that it is partnering with Bharti Airtel, India’s largest telecommunications services provider and SK Telecom. This platform will bring to partners a set of powerful building blocks that Google has developed over the years.
Commenting on the partnership, Shyam Mardikar, CTO, Wireless, India and South Asia, Bharti Airtel said, "We look forward to collaborating with Google on this exciting initiative. It's great to see Google bring the benefits of their networking technologies to carriers. This will bring greater efficiencies and capabilities to mobile networks and enable us to rapidly innovate on new user experiences."

Bharti Airtel had over 368 million customers across its operations at the end of January 2017.
